Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute & Ellen MacArthur Foundation Launch New Safe & Circular Learning Modules

Four new advanced Safe and Circular design methods have been added to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Circular Design Guide to help designers make positive materials choices. Developed by the Institute and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation in collaboration with design professionals, the methods help designers, entrepreneurs and innovators rethink the design process to integrate safe and circular principles from the start of the design process.

To learn more, listen to the Safe & Circular By Design podcast created for last month’s Disruptive Innovation Festival (DIF). Led by Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Emma Fromberg, the podcast features conversations with William McDonough, along with the Institute’s Matteo Kausch, Tamara Zwart and Marisa Guber. Our DIF webinar on Safe & Circular Material Choices is also available here.

Recognition Grows for Cradle to Cradle Certified™

As part of its Responsible Sourcing Policy, Amazon recently announced a commitment to developing new features that will help customers identify products with sustainable attributes by making third-party certifications related to safe chemistry and sustainability, including Cradle to Cradle Certified™ easier to find.

The dynamic two-day gathering included plenty of collaboration on opportunities to power the continued growth of Cradle to Cradle certification, along with discussion of proposed technical updates to the standard.
