Deep analysis of US political gridlock, influence of business and financial lobbying, campaign funding.  Misses some of the forces for positive change, e.g., ethical investing movements, divesting from fossil fuels, ASBC, One%, SVN, etc.  Calls for sensible but difficult reforms: expanding and guaranteeing voting rights, reforming campaign finance, ending filibusters in the Senate.  Useful bibliography and references.
