Dutch/American citizen with international entrepreneurial backgrounds; activities have typically focused on start-up, financing, and development of unique enterprises and projects promoting synergies between information technology, life sciences & education, and sustainable development. Clients have included the private sector, governments, multilateral organizations, universities and NGOs.
Currently active as founder of Planet2025 Network, a social venture dedicated to systemic innovations for sustainable development that seek to catalyze a globally sustainable way of life by 2025, including its most recent initiative Power of One, a non-profit organization which has a mission to inspire and empower integrated action by people and organizations toward transformation to a peaceful, sustainable global society. Drawing on advanced sciences and collective consciousness, we develop initiatives, partnerships, and collaborations that stimulate creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovative financing and business models in service to the whole.
Co-founder and senior advisor of the Institute for Environmental Security in The Hague, The Netherlands and advisor to a series of ventures and initiatives, including the Guiana Shield Initiative, Creating the New World, Earth Child Institute, Ethical Markets Media, CareFirst World, GoDutch Consortium, and Communities 4 the Future; Member IUCN CEC, Member ACORE.
