Transforming Marine Plastic Pollution into Revenue Streams

Starting on World Oceans Day, June 8th

2013 IS THE SUMMER OF UPGYRES

Science World is excited to partner with Upcycle the Gyres Society for World Oceans Day, June 8th, where we will be sifting through beach sand samples from all over Metro Vancouver looking for micro plastic pieces.  Together, we aim to raise awareness on plastics in our oceans and on our beaches and engage with our visitors to promote caring for our environment.  Our efforts for the day will be handed over to UpGyres to upcycle into useable oil.”
